Piercings

All piercings at Fallen Angel Tattoos are done by our piercers Kara and Savannah. Every piercing is done with a hollow, pre-sterilized needle and sterilized equipment between each client. We have a few different options for starting piercing jewelry that you’ll be able to choose from (depending on what we have available).

Before your piercing:

  1. This may sound like a silly first step, but clean sheets, blankets, clothing and pillow cases before getting a new piercing, since this can trap bacteria.

  2. Make sure to eat before your piercing!  Lack of eating can make your blood sugar crash, even if you aren't diabetic; causing you to faint.

  3. Bring your I.D.

  4. Don't be late, if anything be a little early since you will need to fill out a waiver.

  5. Remember, that you won't be able to go into bodies of water (lake, bathtubs, ocean or pools), during the healing process of your piercing so please plan accordingly.

To make it easier for our clients, we include the price of the jewelry

Big NO'S:

  • NO TOUCHING OR PLAYING WITH THE NEW PIERCING, KEEP FINGERS AWAY!

  • DO NOT TWIST OR MOVE AROUND NEW PIERCING

  • DO NOT SUBMERGE - NO BATHS, HOT TUBS, POOLS OR LAKES

  • DO NOT CHANGE THE JEWELRY BEFORE FULLY HEALED

  • DO NOT CLEAN WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL, HYDROGEN PEROXIDE OR HEAVILY SCENTED SOAP. ( these are too harsh)

Tips & Hints:

  • Be careful not to snag your piercing!  Some cartilage piercings are prone to getting little bumps called 'Hypertrophic Scarring'.  These are NOT keloids, and overtime will go away.  Diluted Tea Tree Oil, and Emu Oil can help the bump shrink.

  • If your piercing is on your ear, try sleeping on the other side, or on your back

  • If your piercing is healing, try to reduce sun exposure since this can cause piercings to get irritated and increase healing time.

  • Avoid putting makeup around the area of the piercing as this can trap bacteria, causing an infection

  • Don't over-clean, this wont speed up the healing process.

Minors:

By the law of Utah, to pierce a minor we require: both parents present on any minor younger than 17 years of age.  Once 17 years of age, we only require one parent present.

In both situations we require: minor's birth certificate, both parent's I.D.'s, and minors I.D.  (passport, permit, school ID)

Age limits:

Earlobes: 6+ years of age
Other Ear Piercings: 14+ years of age
